Five-minute walk to T3 check-in beats any shuttle wait
Terminal 3 Short Stay sits directly opposite the T3 departures hall, so you walk across the road and you’re at check-in in roughly 3–5 minutes. This is true multi-storey short stay, not an off-airport lot, and it’s geared to drop-offs, pick-ups, and same-day or overnight trips from T3 airlines. You stay under cover the whole way from car to terminal entrance.
This is a short stay car park with hourly pricing, not a capped daily rate, so costs ramp up quickly after the first 4–6 hours. It suits morning meetings, same-day returns, or picking someone up off an evening arrival into T3 more than a week-long holiday. If you’re leaving the car for several days, T3 Long Stay or one of Heathrow’s business/meet-and-greet options usually works out far cheaper.
Access is directly off the main Heathrow ring road that loops past T2, T3 and T5, with clear “Terminal 3 Short Stay” signs as you approach the central terminal area. Barriers use automatic number plate recognition, so you just take a ticket on entry and pay at the machines before exit. Lifts from every level drop you at ground floor, roughly 100 metres from the T3 doors.
Security is typical Heathrow standard for on-airport multi-storeys, with CCTV across the decks and lighting on every parking level. Disabled bays and family spaces sit on the lower floors, closest to the terminal-side lifts, cutting the walk to under two minutes. Height limits apply, so tall vans and some roof-box setups may need to divert to Long Stay instead of Short Stay T3.
Tip: If you’re collecting someone on an evening flight into T3, wait to drive in until their bags show as delivered on the Heathrow baggage screens; it keeps you from paying for an extra 30–60 minutes of Short Stay time.
