T3’s Cathay Pacific Lounge sits near Gate 11 in the central pier

In Terminal T3, the Cathay Pacific Lounge is on the same level as the main departures area, a short walk from Gate 11 and close to other oneworld lounges. It’s only accessible airside in T3, so you need a same-day boarding pass departing from this terminal to use it.

Current published hours vary with Cathay Pacific’s flight schedule, so check the app or screens once you’re through T3 security. When CX flights to Hong Kong cluster in the afternoon and evening, the lounge usually opens several hours before the first departure and stays open until just before the last CX flight leaves.

Access in T3 typically follows oneworld rules: business-class and first-class passengers on Cathay Pacific and other oneworld carriers, plus oneworld Sapphire and Emerald flying the same day from Terminal 3. There is no publicly sold day pass, so you can’t just pay cash at the door like some Priority Pass lounges in T4 and T5.

The lounge splits into a business area and a smaller first-class section, both on the same T3 footprint. Business passengers enter the main room, while oneworld Emerald and first-class passengers can be directed to the quieter area with upgraded drinks and more attentive service.

Being in T3, the Cathay Pacific space mainly serves Cathay Pacific, American Airlines, Finnair, Qantas, and other oneworld departures. Check your gate number on the T3 screens: from the lounge, most AA and BA codeshares are under a 10–15 minute walk, but some remote stands can need more time.

The lounge sits after passport and security checks in T3, so you clear UK border and security before you even see the Cathay sign. That means once you leave the lounge to go to Gate 11 or further, you walk straight to boarding with only a final scan at the gate.

One practical tip: T3 security can spike past 25–30 minutes at morning and late-afternoon peaks, so aim to be through security at least 90 minutes before departure if you want a meaningful Cathay Pacific Lounge visit instead of a rushed 10-minute stop.
