Relay

Gate area in T1 is where you’ll spot Relay first

Relay sits airside in Terminal T1 at Lomé–Tokoin, right after security and passport control, so you hit it before most gates. It’s the airport’s main newsstand-style shop, with magazines, basic books and French-language papers stacked alongside snacks. Expect standard travel prices rather than city-center levels, but it beats going back outside security to hunt for anything last-minute.

On the shelves you’ll find bottled water, soft drinks, chocolate bars, chips, and a few grab-and-go sandwiches, plus some single-serve instant coffee packs. A 500 ml water typically costs more than in town, so if you’re price-sensitive, bring a bottle and refill before security when possible. For reading material, the mix leans heavily French and regional African titles, with a smaller English section.

Relay in LFW T1 also carries SIM cards and basic travel gear: power adapters, charging cables, headphones, neck pillows, and a small rack of Lomé souvenir items. Hours track flight banks rather than a strict schedule; it usually opens ahead of the first departures and stays open through the last evening flight, but during midday lulls shutters can be half-closed. Inventory on headphones and adapters can run thin on busy days, so don’t wait until boarding calls.

There’s no seating area attached, just standard gate chairs a few meters away, so plan to shop, then move. Tip: if you want both snacks and a local newspaper before an early-morning departure, head to Relay right after security, before lines build from multiple flights at the same time.
