T1

Gate-side at T1, this is LFW’s one Duty Free stop

Right after security in Terminal T1, Duty Free Shop is the main place at Lomé–Tokoin to grab last‑minute liquor, perfume, and chocolates before boarding. It sits along the single departures corridor, so you basically walk past it on the way to all gates. Stock is smaller than big European hubs, but you still see the standard global brands plus some regional spirits.

Hours usually track the flight bank, roughly from the first departures around 05:00 until the last evening flights near 23:00. If you have a 06:00 takeoff, the shutters may only lift 30–40 minutes before boarding, so don’t plan a big shop on a super‑early departure. Prices are duty free, but not “airport mistake fare” cheap; alcohol and tobacco tend to be the best deals compared with Lomé city shops.

On the shelves you’ll typically find 1‑liter bottles of whisky, rum, and vodka, plus boxed chocolates and a small section of perfumes and cosmetics. Tobacco cartons sit behind the counter with standard allowance limits tied to your destination. Snacks are limited; this is not a substitute for a grocery run. If you want branded gifts, grab chocolate tins or perfume; the random souvenirs look generic and feel overpriced for what you get.

Payment usually runs on CFA francs and major cards like Visa and Mastercard, but card terminals at LFW have a reputation for occasional hiccups. Have at least 10,000–20,000 XOF in cash if you’re eyeing a bottle or two. Quick stop tip: hit Duty Free Shop right after security, then walk to your gate; lines can back up when two departures out of T1 load at the same time.
