Being pre-security, it’s also an option for friends or family seeing someone off.

The move here is the Margherita Pizza, listed as their signature. It’s the safest order: you know exactly what’s coming, and Italian places that highlight Margherita usually at least get dough, tomato, and cheese balance right. If you’re tight on yen, one pizza shared between two people plus soft drinks keeps the bill under a typical airport sit-down meal.

There’s no real cult following in English-language forums, and COLOSSEO doesn’t show up in FlyerTalk or Reddit KIX threads at all. That lines up with what it looks like: a standard Western-style option in T1, not a destination restaurant. If you want local Kansai food, head to one of the udon or okonomiyaki spots instead; keep COLOSSEO for when someone in the group only eats pizza or pasta.

Tip: because it’s landside in T1 and security at KIX can easily eat 30–45 minutes in peak banks, finish your meal here and aim to be walking toward security at least an hour before boarding time.
