Three-minute covered walk straight into T1 from P1

P1 Multi-Story Car Park sits on the south side of Terminal 1, with a covered walk of about 3 minutes into the building. It’s a short-stay, multi-storey garage with a 2.1 m height limit, so standard cars and wagons are fine, taller vans and some SUVs are not. For a big hub like KIX, this stays very close and simple compared with off-island lots and shuttles.

Pricing follows the shared P1/P2 tariff: first 24 hours are capped at 3,080 yen on non-peak days and 4,200 yen on peak days. From 24–144 hours, the cap drops to 1,980 yen non-peak or 2,700 yen peak per 24 hours. After 144 hours, the cap falls again to 1,320 yen non-peak or 1,800 yen peak per 24 hours, so long trips get progressively cheaper per day.

Access is about using the right floor. The 3rd floor of P1 links directly into the 2nd floor of T1, which is where many domestic departures and check-in counters sit. Regulars at KIX just drive straight to 3F, park, and walk indoors the whole way, skipping elevators and long ramps between levels.

The 4th floor is a different game: it’s reserved parking only, with a 520-yen booking fee added on top of the normal daily charges. Frequent flyers who park during peak periods often pay that fee to lock in a spot in P1 instead of risking spillover to further lots. If you arrive without a reservation and follow signs up to 4F by habit, you’ll just be turned around to hunt lower floors.

Watch out for one common hassle: drivers who miss the “reservation only” signs at 4F end up looping back down ramps, wasting 5–10 minutes. To avoid that, pick your strategy before you turn in—either pre-book and head deliberately for 4F, or skip it and aim for 3F first.

Practical tip: on busy holiday mornings, arrive 20–30 minutes earlier than you normally would, drive straight to 3F of P1, and keep a backup plan in mind for P2 if the south-side levels are posted full.
