4 EV charging spots sit right next to the terminals

Kansai Airport’s EV Charging Stations sit in the on-site parking areas next to T1 and T2, so you park and plug without taking a shuttle. These are standard EV chargers, better for topping up while you’re away than doing a full empty-to-full session before a long drive. Think of them as parking with a power bonus, not as a dedicated ultra-fast charging hub.

Stays price out at the normal airport parking rates for the relevant lot, so you pay the same daily parking fee you would for a non-EV space. The charging itself is typically metered by time or kWh according to posted signage in the EV bays, so check the board before you lock the car. If you expect to be gone several days, do the math on your battery needs and daily cost so the economics make sense.

The EV spaces sit close to the terminal walkways, which cuts your walk to T1 or T2 down to just a few minutes even with luggage. Because there are only a handful of marked EV stalls, availability swings a lot at peak departure banks in the morning and evening. Have a backup plan to use a regular space in the same parking area if every charger is taken when you arrive.

No formal “regulars’ tricks” surface in reviews yet, but Japanese airports run pretty tightly on rules, so don’t plan on hogging a charger for days if signage requests you move after charging. Keep an eye on your app or the car’s estimate and time your arrival to hit 60–80% before your flight. Tip: snap a photo of your stall number and floor so you can head straight back to your EV after landing.
