Korean Air Lounge

T1

SkyTeam-only access in KIX T1 keeps this lounge quiet

The Korean Air Lounge sits in Kansai International Airport Terminal 1 and mainly serves Korean Air and other SkyTeam partner passengers, so traffic stays lighter than the main contract lounges in T1. If you’re already checked in on a SkyTeam carrier, this is the straightforward option before a KE flight out of KIX.

This is a classic compact room rather than a flagship hub lounge, with basic seating and standard airport views across T1. Expect rows of armchairs, some small tables, and enough power outlets for phones and laptops, but not a full business center or nap rooms. Think short layover rather than all-afternoon office.

Food tends to match what you see at other secondary Korean Air lounges: packaged snacks, simple cold items, and a few hot trays around peak KE departures to Seoul. Portions are small and timed around KE flight banks, so don’t count on a full meal at 10:00 if the next Korean Air departure isn’t until mid-afternoon.

Drinks usually lean on self-serve fridges and a small counter, with canned soft drinks, basic tea and coffee, and a limited selection of beer or house wine tied to the lounge’s contracted suppliers. If you care about craft options, you’ll find more choice in the main Terminal 1 public concourse before you scan into the SkyTeam area.

Access runs off Korean Air and SkyTeam rules in T1: premium-cabin passengers and eligible SkyTeam Elite Plus members on same-day flights are let in, while most Priority Pass and paid walk-ups are directed to other contract lounges in the terminal. Check your KE or partner boarding pass at the T1 lounge desk before heading through the terminal’s long piers.

Because Kansai Terminal 1 is large and piers can run long, allow at least 10–15 minutes to walk from the Korean Air Lounge to far-out SkyTeam gates at the end of the concourse. Plan to leave the lounge as soon as your KE or partner flight shows boarding on the T1 screens rather than waiting for a final call.

Quick tip: If you want a real meal, eat in T1 landside or in the main airside food court first, then use the Korean Air Lounge mainly for Wi‑Fi, a drink, and a seat near a power outlet before boarding your SkyTeam flight.
