Motorcycle spaces sit in a dedicated parking area at KHH
Kaohsiung International Airport runs a specific Motorcycle Parking Area on the airport grounds, separate from car lots and drop-off lanes. Scooters are everywhere in Kaohsiung, and KHH follows the usual Taiwan pattern: marked motorcycle bays rather than ad‑hoc sidewalk parking. This is the only officially named motorcycle facility at the airport.
The Motorcycle Parking Area serves both the D (domestic) and I (international) terminals, so you can leave a bike and walk into either side of the airport. Expect the layout to resemble other Taiwanese transport hubs: painted motorcycle rows, low curbs, and clear traffic flow aimed at two-wheelers, not cars or buses. Follow on-site signs in Chinese and English pointing to motorcycle parking as you approach the terminal roads.
Pricing at similar Taiwanese airport motorcycle lots typically runs well under the cost of car parking per day, and KHH’s Motorcycle Parking Area is meant for short- and medium-stay use rather than long-term storage. Payment at other Taiwan airports usually happens via ticket machines that take coins, notes, or contactless cards, so plan on a small amount of cash or a local card ready when you roll out. Watch the time stamps on your ticket; Taiwan facilities often switch from hourly to daily caps after a set number of hours.
This Motorcycle Parking Area sits landside, outside security, so you still need to factor in check-in, baggage drop, and security time at D or I after locking your bike. Build in at least 15–20 minutes from parking the scooter to reaching your check-in counter, more if you are unfamiliar with KHH’s layout or traveling during holiday peaks. One practical tip: photograph the nearest sign or pole number when you park; motorcycle rows can look identical when you return from a late-night arrival.
