T1 Post-security

Gate-side in T1, Negroni sits past security near departures

In Kos International Airport’s T1, Negroni is the Italian-focused bar you see just after security in the main departures area. It’s fully post-security, so you can sit with a drink until boarding is called for flights to Athens, Germany, or the UK. The bar faces the central seating zone, so you can keep an eye on the screens while you eat.

Negroni leans Italian: think Aperol spritz, the namesake negroni, basic prosecco by the glass, and standard draft beer. Expect airport-pricing, with cocktails usually landing in the €10–€13 range and beer around €6–€7 depending on brand. Spirits are mostly recognizable labels, nothing too premium, poured generous but simple.

Food is quick bar fare with a Mediterranean tilt: small sandwiches, simple pasta portions, and snack plates like olives and crisps, all generally under €15. Portions run light to medium, so it works better for a pre-flight snack than a full dinner before a 3‑hour hop to mainland Europe. Turnover is fast, and staff push out reheated items in under 15 minutes during normal traffic.

Seating is mostly high stools and a few low tables wrapped around the bar, with room for roughly 20–30 guests before it feels full. Power outlets are limited, so don’t count on charging a laptop while you camp for a delayed 22:45 departure. The space looks straight into the rest of T1, so it’s more “drink and go” than quiet workspace.

Tip: if your gate number is already posted, sit on the side facing your exact gate so you can see the boarding line form; Negroni is close enough to most T1 doors that you can close your tab and walk to boarding in under 3–4 minutes.
