Saudia Alfursan Lounge

Saudia and SkyTeam passengers in JED’s North Terminal get Alfursan as their main lounge option.

The Saudia Alfursan Lounge sits airside in the North Terminal, used for Saudia and other SkyTeam departures from King Abdulaziz International Airport. Check-in and security first, then follow Saudia lounge signs; you don’t need to leave the secure area once you’re in. Access runs throughout the operating day, generally aligning with Saudia’s banked departures morning through late night.

Food is buffet style with hot and cold dishes that rotate through the day, typically including rice, grilled chicken, pasta, and basic salads. Breakfast hours usually bring eggs and pastries, then shift to heavier mains as Saudia’s midday flights depart. Expect self-serve soft drinks, tea, and Arabic coffee rather than bar service; there’s no made-to-order menu and presentation is functional rather than premium.

Seating spreads across several zones with standard armchairs and small side tables, enough for a couple hundred passengers at peak departure times. Power outlets are scattered, so you may need to walk a row or two to find a working socket near your seat. Wi‑Fi uses the lounge network, not the terminal’s, and speeds are generally suitable for email and messaging but can slow when multiple Saudia widebodies go out in a short window.

Showers are available inside the lounge and tend to be in demand around late-night long-haul departures to Europe and Asia. Plan on a short wait if you arrive in the 22:00–01:00 window. Towels and basic toiletries are provided; bring your own extras if you want anything beyond standard soap and shampoo. Restrooms sit just off the main seating area, which helps if you’re keeping an eye on a 30–40 minute boarding window.

Alcohol is not served, in line with airport and country rules, and smoking areas are separated so you’ll notice less lingering smoke smell than in some older regional lounges. Staff generally announce flight information for key Saudia departures by destination and flight number, but rely on your boarding pass and the North Terminal screens near your gate for accurate last‑call times.

Tip: if your Saudia or SkyTeam flight leaves from a remote stand, aim to exit the lounge at least 45 minutes before departure; bus gates at JED North can involve longer walks and crowded holding areas.
