Payment machines accept cards and cash, but if your total charge passes ¥30,000 the system asks for a PIN on credit card transactions, which slows the exit a bit. KIX‑ITM cardholders swipe the card at the payment machine to get 10% off the remaining fee after any other discounts, but only before you pay; once you’ve settled the ticket, the discount can’t be added.

Regulars sometimes pair a short visit with terminal shopping to grab one‑hour free parking coupons from participating shops, then stack that with the 30‑minute free window for cheap sub‑two‑hour stops.
