Airport Shop

Duty Free

1 Open · Mon–Sun: 07:30–12:00 and 12:30–17:00

Gate side at Terminal 1, this is INN’s main duty free stop

Airport Shop sits airside in Terminal 1 and keeps airport hours that match most flights: open daily from 07:30–12:00, then again 12:30–17:00. It’s your last shot for liquor, perfume, and chocolate after security at Innsbruck, so if you need anything tax-free, this is the place. The space is small by big-hub standards, but it covers the basics for departures to the UK, Germany, and the rest of Europe.

Pricing draws complaints: one Skytrax review flat-out calls the shop “an absolute rip off” compared with town. Assume tourist mark‑ups on spirits, cosmetics, and Toblerone, especially versus supermarkets in Innsbruck. Tobacco, standard 1L spirits, and brand perfumes follow the typical duty free pattern: cheaper than some downtown boutiques, but not a steal. If you care about value, buy heavier items city-side and treat this more as a top‑up stop.

Hours matter at INN because of afternoon lulls: the 12:00–12:30 closure hits right when some late‑morning flights start boarding, so plan your shopping around that half‑hour gap. Morning flights before 07:30 won’t see it open at all, so don’t count on grabbing last‑minute gifts on the earliest departures. Card payments and major European brands are standard, but don’t expect rare whisky or niche fragrance lines.

Tip: If you’re price‑sensitive, use Airport Shop only for items you forgot in town and stick to small, easy‑to-carry gifts like 100 g chocolate bars or miniatures rather than big bottle runs.
