Pre-security Aviators Cafe works for anyone, boarding pass or not

Aviators Cafe sits on the first floor of ICT’s Main terminal, pre-security, so it’s one of the few spots you can use during drop-off, pickup, or while working landside. It doubles as the airport canteen for staff, meeters/greeters, and early-arriving families who don’t want to clear TSA at 09:00 just to get coffee and a sandwich.

The staffed café runs roughly 09:00–17:00 daily, with basic espresso drinks, drip coffee, and made-to-order items at prices in the $5–$12 range, which is normal for a regional airport. If you’re on a mid-afternoon flight out of ICT, this is a decent place to grab something around 14:00 before heading through security, since airside options shrink quickly later in the day.

Right next to the counter is Aviators Market, a self-service setup with coolers of premade sandwiches and wraps, packaged snacks, bottled drinks, and a couple of microwaves for heat-and-eat frozen meals. The market is listed as 24 hours, so at 05:30 or 22:30 you may find the café closed but the fridges and microwaves still usable for a basic breakfast burrito or late snack.

Payment is straightforward: they take cash, major credit cards, and Apple Pay, which is not a given at smaller fields like ICT. That helps if you’re passing through with only your phone or an airline employee badge and don’t want to dig out a wallet just to grab a $3 soda or a $7 premade wrap.

With a rating in the mid-400s and primarily local traffic, Aviators Cafe leans more toward practical than “day-out.” There’s no alcohol list or sit-down dinner service, just basic tables and counter seating that turn over quickly during the 11:00–13:00 lunch rush. Tip: if someone is picking you up, agree to meet inside at Aviators on the first floor; they get parking, you get coffee, and nobody is circling the curb for 20 minutes.
