Airport Limousine 6002

Bus

Bus 70-90 min (ICN–Cheongnyangni area, traffic dependent) $9-11

70–90 minutes from ICN to Korea Univ/Cheongnyangni with one seat

Airport Limousine 6002 runs from both T1 and T2 at Incheon to northeastern Seoul stops like Cheongnyangni Station, Sungshin Women’s University, and Korea University in about 70–90 minutes depending on traffic. It runs roughly 05:30–23:30 and costs around $9–11 one way, so cheaper than a taxi from ICN (often $60+), but easier with luggage than multiple transfers on Line 1 and Line 6.

Buses depart every 15–25 minutes from clearly marked airport limousine bays at T1 and T2; look for the “6002” signs and the Cheongnyangni / Korea Univ destination boards. Seats are assigned when you buy a ticket at the counter, and there’s underfloor luggage storage where you hand bags to the driver before boarding. Regulars quote it as “drops you right near Korea University and Cheongnyangni,” which saves at least one subway transfer and several staircases with 20–23 kg suitcases.

Despite the “limousine” name, 6002 is more like a standard city coach: 2–2 seating with decent legroom and about 40–45 seats, but not lie-flat or extra-wide. The ride is quieter in the middle rows; front rows can be noisier near the door and driver, while the last 3–4 rows feel bumpier on Seoul’s city streets. Onboard announcements are mainly in Korean, with softer English audio, so keep an eye on the LED stop display for stations like “Sungshin Women’s Univ” and “Cheongnyangni.”

Traffic is the big variable: users report runs that hit 100–110 minutes or more at rush hour as the bus crawls on the expressway and again near Cheongnyangni. Many locals check Naver Map’s live traffic for the ICN–Cheongnyangni corridor; if it’s deep red, they switch to AREX express plus subway even with 1–2 transfers. Some riders also mention drivers who brake hard at 80–100 km/h, so avoid standing until the bus is fully stopped.

Regulars with T-money cards just tap on at the bus door instead of queueing at the airport ticket counter, which can save 5–10 minutes during the evening bank of arrivals. Students heading to Korea Univ sometimes get off one stop early to dodge a gridlocked intersection and walk the last 5–10 minutes. One practical move: grab a mid-bus seat on the right side, stow bags on the same side under the bus, and you’ll be off and walking within 1–2 minutes of the doors opening at your stop.
