Short-haul snacks and magazines in T1: Hudson News

Hudson News in Ibiza’s main Terminal T1 runs like the familiar American airport convenience stand, overlapping with Relay for magazines, drinks and packaged snacks geared to 1–3 hour European hops. It sits airside, after security, so this is one of your last chances to grab a bottle of water or a paperback before Schengen departures board.

Hours roughly track the flight schedule, opening early morning for the 06:00–08:00 bank and staying open through the late-night seasonal returns to the UK and mainland Spain. You’ll see the usual cold drinks, crisps, chocolate bars, gum, and a wall of glossy magazines in Spanish and English, plus some basic travel gear like neck pillows and phone cables. Think €2–3 for bottled water and €1.50–4 for snacks, similar to other Spanish airports but still airport pricing.

Regular IBZ flyers often mention buying snacks and reading material in Ibiza town or at their origin airport, only using Hudson News or Relay when pressed for time. That’s mostly a reaction to Skytrax-style complaints about Ibiza Airport having few concessions past security, which makes every shop, including Hudson, feel like the only option once you’re in the small T1 departures area.

Watch out for the bill if you’re picking up multiple drinks and candy bars; a quick grab for a couple of waters and sweets can hit €10–15 without much effort. If you have more than 20 minutes before boarding, compare prices between Hudson News and the nearby Relay in T1, then buy the heavy stuff (water, magazines) once you’re sure of your gate so you’re not hauling extra weight around the compact terminal.
