Near T1 security, Tea Trails is the airport’s tea stop
Right after security in Terminal T1 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Tea Trails focuses on tea, light bites, and quick sit-down breaks before your flight. It’s inside the domestic terminal, so you don’t need to leave the secure zone to get here between gates.
As the name suggests, Tea Trails builds the menu around teas rather than coffee. Expect multiple styles of Indian chai and classic black teas, often served in small kettles or tall glasses, alongside simple snacks. Pricing lands in typical India airport territory: think single-digit USD for a drink and a bit more for a drink-plus-snack combo.
Food leans on tea-time standards: sandwiches, pakoras, and baked snacks to go with a hot cup. Portions run light, so don’t treat this like a full thali or biryani stop in T1. Use it instead for a quick pre-boarding snack around an hour before departure, or for a simple breakfast tea if you’ve cleared security early in the morning.
Turnover is steady through the day, especially in the evening departure banks between roughly 18:00 and 22:00, when gates in T1 are busiest. Seating is usually small café tables, close to the walkway and close to the gate areas, so expect some foot traffic noise while you sip your tea.
Payment is standard for HYD T1: cards and UPI generally work, and prices appear clearly on overhead boards at the counter. Order and pay first at the register, then wait a few minutes for your drink to be prepared; factor in at least 10 minutes if you’re tight on time before boarding.
Tip: if your gate is announced as a bus gate at T1, grab your tea in a takeaway cup so you’re not stuck abandoning it when boarding starts 20–30 minutes before departure.
