Draft a long layover at Aero Plaza’s Buffalo Wild Wings
Aero Plaza in T1 has one sit-down sports bar with alcohol: Buffalo Wild Wings, outside security. If you’ve got time before check-in opens or you’re meeting someone arriving later, this is one of the few spots where you can sit with a beer and watch a match instead of hovering near the counters.
Because it’s pre-security, Buffalo Wild Wings works best for departures from T1 when you’re at the airport early, or for people waiting on arrivals. Build at least a 30–40 minute buffer to clear security after you’re done; HYD queues can spike badly in the evenings and around midnight bank flights.
Menu is the standard BWW playbook: wings in multiple sauces, burgers, and fries, with mains generally in the mid-₹400s–₹700s (roughly $$ by airport standards). Draft beer towers and pitchers are available, plus usual bar spirits. If you just want something quick, stick to boneless wings or a single-portion snack instead of a full combo, which drags the bill up fast.
The sports bar setup means plenty of screens running cricket and football, and they usually keep the commentary on at a reasonable volume. Service pace matches a casual bar, not a fast-food stand, so assume 20–30 minutes from order to eating for cooked items during busy evening waves, and less for simple drinks or ready-to-plate sides.
BWW at Aero Plaza keeps hours that track the terminal: it’s normally open from late morning into the late-night departure bank, but closing can slide earlier on slow nights. If you land after 02:00, don’t bank on it being open; survey the plaza before committing to stay landside for food.
Practical tip: finish your tab and head toward T1 security at least 60 minutes before boarding time; screens inside the bar can lag behind actual gate calls, and HYD does final checks aggressively close to departure.
