Sbarro

By Gate 32 in T1, Sbarro covers the pizza craving fast.

Sitting in the departures area of Terminal T1, Sbarro is the airport’s New York–style slice option once you’re through security. It’s a standard food-court setup near other quick-service outlets, so you can order, eat, and walk to most domestic gates in under 5–7 minutes. Layout is simple: counter service, tray pickup, limited seating clustered around the stand.

Menu basics stay in the comfort zone: cheese and pepperoni slices, veggie toppings, and heavier options like pasta and baked dishes. Portions track with typical Sbarro malls: a large slice can comfortably pass for a light meal, and two slices plus a drink easily fill a longer layover. Expect airport pricing here, with a slice-and-drink combo landing in the mid-hundreds of rupees rather than street-level rates.

Turnover matters with pizza under heat lamps. At a busy T1 midday bank, slices tend to rotate quickly, so you’re more likely to catch a pie that came out of the oven in the last 20–30 minutes. During slower late-night or mid-afternoon stretches, ask for a slice from the newest tray or see if they’ll reheat it a bit longer before you pay.

Non-pizza options usually include basic pasta with tomato or white sauce and a few sides like garlic bread. These travel fine to a nearby gate, but anything heavily sauced is easier to eat at one of the tables right by the stand, especially if your boarding starts within 20 minutes. Soft drinks and bottled water are standard, so you can top up before a 2–3 hour domestic leg.

Tip: if your flight from T1 boards from a bus gate, grab your slice and drink to go and head downstairs early; eating on the bus is awkward, but you can finish it at the holding area before the last boarding call.
