T1 flyers hit Pizza Express when they want something familiar
Pizza Express sits airside in Terminal T1 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, so you’re covered after security. Signage in T1 points you toward the food court area; keep an eye out for the black-and-white Pizza Express logo alongside other branded outlets.
The draw is exactly what the name says: pizza, plus typical sides you’d expect from an international pizza chain. Menu boards list individual pizzas and combo meals, usually at airport-markup pricing compared with Hyderabad city stores. Expect to pay more than ₹400–₹500 for a personal-sized pizza, with larger options climbing from there.
Turnover is tied to flight banks in T1, so at peak times around major departures you may wait 10–20 minutes for a made-to-order pizza. Off-peak, pies often come out faster as the ovens stay warm and staff batch orders. If your boarding pass shows a tight 30–40 minute window, stick to slices or ready-made items instead of a custom build.
Seating depends on the shared T1 food court layout, which means tables fill up quickly when multiple gates are boarding in the same hour. If every seat near Pizza Express is taken, you can usually carry your box down toward nearby gates and eat there while you watch the screens for your flight number.
Payment typically runs through standard airport options in India: major credit cards, UPI apps, and cash in rupees. Prices are clearly posted on overhead boards, so you can compare a basic margherita to loaded toppings before committing. Keep an eye on combo deals if you want a drink and a side; they often work out cheaper than piecing it together.
Tip: Order at Pizza Express before you walk all the way to distant T1 gates; backtracking 5–10 minutes against boarding crowds is a pain.
