Between gates 3 and 4 in T1, Maiyas handles hunger fast.

Maiyas sits post-security in Terminal T1 between gates 3 and 4, so it works well when you’re already through checks and don’t want to trek far. It’s a full restaurant, not just a snack counter, and lands in the mid-range $$ bracket for Hyderabad airport, pricier than a quick grab-and-go but still under typical lounge-level spend.

The menu leans South Indian vegetarian, so think dosas, idlis, vadas and basic thali plates rather than burgers or pizza. Expect mains to run in the mid-hundreds of rupees, roughly in that $$ tier you’d pay in a city mall, not a luxury hotel. If you want something light before a late-night departure, a plate of idli or vada usually comes in cheaper than a full thali and keeps you comfortable on a 2–3 hour flight.

Timing-wise, T1’s departures run late into the night, and Maiyas broadly tracks those hours, opening from early morning through late evening as flights banks come and go. Being airside between gates 3 and 4 means you can sit down, order, and still keep an eye on boarding calls from nearby domestic gates, instead of hiking back from landside options.

Service speed varies with the departure banks, but plan on at least 25–30 minutes for a sit-down meal once you’re seated and have ordered. If your gate is 3 or 4, that window is manageable; if you’re at a higher-numbered gate deeper into T1, add a 5–10 minute walk back into your buffer so you’re not sprinting with sambar in your stomach.

Practical tip: if your boarding pass shows a gate change from 3 or 4 to something farther down T1, ask for the bill as soon as your main hits the table so you can bail quickly if the flight suddenly flips to “final call.”
