Near Gate 13, Franks is the fastest food grab in T1
Franks sits airside in Terminal T1, just by Gate 13, and it runs as a basic quick-service counter for when you just need something cheap and fast. It’s post-security, so you can walk up after clearing immigration and be back at your seat in under 10 minutes if the line is short.
This is a budget stop, firmly in the $ tier, with pricing closer to mall food court than airport restaurant. Expect simple hot dogs, sandwiches, and snacks in the ₹150–₹300 range, plus basic soft drinks and bottled water around ₹40–₹60. Card payments are standard; keep a little cash handy in case the machine glitches.
Food here leans very QSR: quick-assemble rolls or hot dogs, reheated pastries, and a few grab-and-go items in a warmer. You come for speed, not a sit-down meal. If you have a long layover at HYD T1, Franks works as a filler stop before a longer flight rather than your main dining plan.
Seating near Gate 13 is shared with the rest of the pier, so you’ll usually eat at generic terminal chairs rather than dedicated tables. That said, the proximity to boarding means you can watch the screens at the Gate 13 cluster while you eat and time your walk to the gate down to a few minutes.
Watch out for: portions can run small for the price, and items sometimes sell out in the late-night bank of departures around 01:00–03:00. If you’re flying on one of the overnight international routes from T1, aim to grab something here before midnight.
Tip: if your boarding pass shows a gate higher than 20 in T1, stop at Franks near Gate 13 on your way out; options thin out as you walk deeper into the pier.
