Long-Term Parking

Outdoor

Leaving the car at HRG for a few days, on-airport

Hurghada International’s long-term parking is an outdoor lot within walking distance of Terminals 1 and 2, aimed more at locals and Red Sea residents than short-stay tourists using hotel shuttles and 10–20 USD taxi transfers. It sits on airport grounds, so you’re not dealing with off-site minibuses or extra checkpoints.

The lot is signed as Long-Term Parking near the terminal access roads; expect basic open-air bays rather than a covered structure, and plan for strong Red Sea sun on the car in summer where temps often hit 35–40°C. Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are a short walk away, so you can park once and choose either terminal depending on airline and route.

Hard numbers on daily pricing, maximum stays, and payment method at Hurghada’s long-term parking aren’t published by the airport or in usual flyer forums, unlike the clearly advertised 10–20 USD each-way hotel transfers. Assume a meter-style ticket on entry and payment at a machine or booth on exit, and budget along the lines of other Egyptian airports where multi-day parking stays are common for local drivers.

Regulars on Reddit and Facebook threads often skip parking entirely and instead prebook a hotel shuttle or taxi from Hurghada town for around 300–600 EGP (roughly 10–20 USD), which adds up quickly if you’re gone 5–7 days but works fine for short weekend trips. Long-term on-site parking tends to make more sense if you’re away several days and already own a car in Hurghada, El Gouna, or Sahl Hasheesh.

Tip: before your trip, call your airline’s local Hurghada number or your hotel’s front desk and ask what they last paid for HRG long-term parking; you’ll get a current ballpark price instead of guessing at the gate.
