Short Stay Parking

Short stay

5-minute walk from T1/T2, right next to the terminal

Short Stay Parking at HKG sits next to the passenger terminals, about a 5-minute walk to T1 and T2 via covered walkways. This is the on-airport option you use for quick drop-offs, pick-ups, or same-day trips where you want the car close.

This is a short-stay car park, priced and managed for hours or a day or two, not week-long holidays. Check the airport site for current hourly and daily caps; Hong Kong Airport updates those rates in HKD and sometimes runs online pre-book discounts. If you’re staying longer than 24–48 hours, compare against long-term parking or off-airport lots first.

Access is simple: follow the airport parking signs from the airport road system, then look for “Short Stay Parking” by the terminal complex. You park, walk straight into T1 or T2 in about 5 minutes, and avoid shuttles entirely. Lifts and pedestrian routes are built into the terminal-side structures, so you’re not crossing busy traffic lanes.

Short Stay Parking works best for runs where your flight time plus buffer is under a day or two. For example, dropping someone for a late-night departure at T1 and waiting a few hours is painless here, as you’re within a 5-minute walk of the check-in halls. Business day-trips where you arrive in the morning and fly back the same evening also fit the short-stay pricing model.

Practical tip: pre-book online via the Hong Kong International Airport parking portal if your stay might stretch beyond a few hours; locked-in HKD rates can be cheaper than drive-up, and you’ll know in advance whether Short Stay Parking is still better value than the long-stay options.
