Right outside Terminal 3, this is the main car park
Terminal 3 Car Park sits directly in front of José Martí’s Terminal 3, so you walk a few minutes to departures rather than dealing with a shuttle. It handles both short and long stays, so you use the same area whether you’re dropping someone for a 2-hour check-in window or leaving the car while you’re in Cuba for a week.
This is an open-air surface lot with basic facilities, positioned beside the main terminal access road at HAV. There’s no multi-level structure, so in the middle of the day under 30°C+ heat, aim for spots closer to the terminal side for a slightly shorter walk. Lighting is present but not at the level of newer airports, so pay attention to where you leave the car if your flight lands back after 22:00.
Pricing is set up so you can use it both as short stay for pickups and as long stay for trips of several days; locals regularly leave cars for multiple nights when flying out of Terminal 3. You pay on exit in local currency, and credit card acceptance in Cuba can be patchy, so arrive with enough cash to cover at least 3–4 days if you’re not sure about your return date.
Security is basic: public entrance, visible staff near the terminal side, and regular traffic from arriving taxis and private cars. There’s no controlled pedestrian tunnel or bridge, just a ground-level crossing of the access road to T3. If you’re dropping family with multiple suitcases, plan a slow roll past the terminal curb first, unload at Departures, then loop back to park so you only need to walk the 200–300 meters yourself.
Tip: In busy outbound banks around 10:00–14:00, arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than you normally would, just to hunt for a spot and walk in without rushing check-in at Terminal 3.
