50–100 meters from Terminal 1, this lot covers the basics
Terminal 1 Car Park sits directly in front of Terminal 1 at José Martí International Airport (HAV), so the walk to check-in is usually under 3 minutes. It’s an open-air surface lot, used for both short stops and multi-day parking. You park in marked bays and walk straight to the departures area without shuttles or extra transfers.
This is the default option if you’re flying from terminal code 1, which mainly handles domestic and some regional flights. There’s no structured pricing published online, but locals report simple day-by-day rates paid in person. Payment is typically on exit at a staffed booth; bring cash, as card acceptance at HAV can be hit or miss.
The lot works for quick drop-offs under an hour and also for longer trips of several days. Because it serves only Terminal 1, it’s less hectic than the larger setups around Terminals 2 and 3. There’s no dedicated shuttle between terminals from this car park, so don’t leave your car here if you’re actually flying from Terminal 3 or 5; get dropped at the correct terminal instead.
Security is basic: open fencing, lighting at night, and on-site staff connected to the terminal operations. No reservable spaces, no covered parking, and no special EV bays are advertised. In peak morning bank (around 06:00–09:00) the front rows fill first, so expect a slightly longer walk if you arrive late.
Practical tip: if you’re on a domestic flight from Terminal 1, aim to park and be at the check-in area at least 90 minutes before departure; factor in 10 extra minutes to find a space and pay on exit in cash.
