Terminal 2, airside, Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi (Soc Son), Vietnam

T2’s Vietnam Airlines Lotus Lounge is basically “fine” international.

This is the Vietnam Airlines Lotus Lounge in T2 at Noi Bai, used mainly by Vietnam Airlines and SkyTeam partners on international departures. Think solid seating, functional Wi‑Fi, and food that sits squarely in the “good enough before a 3–5 hour flight” range. Frequent flyers often lump it together with the Lotus lounges at SGN: acceptable overall, nothing that changes your routing plans.

The lounge sits airside in Terminal 2, past immigration and security, so you’re safely on the international side before you head in. Signage in T2 clearly points to “Vietnam Airlines Lotus Lounge,” and walking time from most mid-20s gates is under 5–7 minutes. Build a 10–15 minute buffer for the security and passport control queues before even thinking about lounge time.

Food leans Vietnamese and Asian: expect a few hot dishes like noodles or rice, some basic dim sum-style bites, plus simple cold items and fruit. Reviews consistently call it “neither fantastic – but neither terrible either,” with the HAN spread broadly similar to what you see at SGN. Don’t come in hunting for made-to-order pho or premium cuts; think catering-tray level, fine for a quick plate before boarding.

Drinks are limited: standard soft drinks, tea, coffee from a machine, and a couple of house wines and spirits at self-serve stations. If you care about cocktails or specific labels, plan on buying something from duty free in T2 first, near gates 20–26, and keeping expectations low inside the lounge. Hydration is easy; anything more interesting isn’t happening here.

Space is one of the few relative positives compared with SGN, where a FlyerTalk regular called the lounge “really cramped.” At HAN T2, seating usually stretches far enough that you can still find a seat near a power outlet, even 60–90 minutes before an evening departure bank. Power points are mostly along walls and pillars, so walk an extra 20–30 meters past the entrance cluster to spot emptier rows.

Practical tip: aim to arrive at T2 about 2 hours before an intra-Asia flight or 2.5–3 hours before a long-haul, clear formalities first, then give the Lotus Lounge 30–45 minutes max and head to your gate by T‑15 so you’re not jogging when Vietnam Airlines starts boarding early by row.
