P2

Short-stay parking

Five-minute walk from T1 check-in, P2 is Geneva’s quick-stop lot

P2 sits directly under Terminal T1 at Geneva Airport, with signed pedestrian access bringing you to the check-in area in roughly 3–5 minutes. It’s classed as short-stay parking, so think hours, not days. This is the lot you use for drop-offs, pickups, or same-day business trips when you want to park once and walk straight to departures.

This multi-storey car park usually has hourly and daily tariffs posted at the entrance barriers, with pricing aimed at stays from 30 minutes up to about 24 hours. Payment works via ticket on entry and pay-on-exit at machines inside P2, typically taking cards and cash in CHF and sometimes EUR. If you’re under the free grace period (check the board; it’s often around 10–15 minutes), you still need to validate your ticket before driving out.

P2 is fully covered, which matters in Geneva once temperatures drop below 0°C and snow piles up on the open lots. Height limits apply at the entrance ramp, so vans and taller SUVs should check the posted clearance in metres before pulling in. Parking bays are standard European size, tighter than some US travelers expect, and rows are marked by level numbers so you can note “P2, Level -2, Row 5” on your phone before heading to T1.

Access to arrivals and departures from P2 is by elevators and signed corridors that lead directly into the T1 terminal. If you’re meeting someone landing on an evening Swiss flight, you can park in P2, reach the arrivals hall in under 5 minutes, and be back at your car without going outdoors. P2 also works as a staging point if you’re dropping a rental car in town but flying out of T1 within a few hours.

Practical tip: Arrive 15–20 minutes earlier than you think, as finding a spot in P2 can take extra time during weekday morning banks when flights between 06:00 and 09:00 fill the terminal.
