Chocology

Gate-side chocolate fix in Main Terminal GUM

Just past security in GUM’s Main Terminal, Chocology focuses on boxed chocolates and gift-ready sweets you can grab in under 5 minutes. It’s a small stand-style shop, not a sit-down spot, so think quick pass-through on the way to gates rather than a long browse.

Most gift boxes run in the $10–$25 range, with smaller snack packs under $8. You’ll see branded chocolate bars, assorted pralines, and seasonal items built for last-minute omiyage back to Japan, Korea, or the US. Prices sit a bit above Guam supermarkets, but still reasonable compared with duty-free candy on other islands.

Hours generally track outbound bank times, opening before the early morning flights around 05:00 and staying open until the late-night departures push out after 22:00. If you land on a midday arrival and connect within 2–3 hours, you should catch it open, but first wave arrivals before 05:00 can find the shutters down.

Selection skews strongly to boxed chocolate and packaged sweets; you won’t find fresh pastries, coffee, or hot snacks here. If you want drinks or savory food, hit the Main Terminal food court first, then swing by Chocology within the last 10–15 minutes before boarding to keep the box from getting crushed in your bag.

One practical move: buy a firm rectangular box and ask for an extra small bag, then slide the bagged box into your backpack or roller on top. That trick saves the chocolates from Guam humidity and keeps them intact through a 4–7 hour flight out of GUM.
