Beach Essentials

Extra flip-flops at Gate Main? That’s Beach Essentials.

Five minutes from most Main concourse gates, Beach Essentials is the airport’s basic stop for last‑minute island gear. It sits post-security on the departures level, so you can duck in after TSA without backtracking. Think sunscreen, hats, flip-flops, rash guards, and quick-dry towels aimed at Guam’s beaches rather than generic souvenir clutter.

Expect resort‑area pricing: travel-size sunscreen often runs a few dollars higher than Tumon shops, and simple flip-flops usually land in the mid‑teens USD. On the plus side, you can grab reef-safe SPF, decent UV shirts, and simple kids’ beach toys in one quick pass. Stock skews practical over luxury brands, so it’s more about getting covered than upgrading your gear.

Beach Essentials generally follows flight banks and tends to open before early-morning departures and stay open into late evening; think roughly 06:00 until close to the last outbound flights from Main. Because it’s inside security, it works for both outbound tourists trying not to fry on arrival and residents topping up before hopping to Saipan, Palau, or Manila.

Watch your liquids if you’re connecting: anything over 100 ml from Beach Essentials will need to fit local security rules at your next stop, especially if you re-clear screening in Japan, Korea, or Hawaii. If you’re tight on time, walk straight from TSA to your gate, check the boarding screen, then loop back to Beach Essentials only if you have at least 10–15 minutes spare.
