Garage A sits directly next to Greenville-Spartanburg’s Main terminal, with about a 5-minute walk from your car to check-in. This is long-stay parking, but priced at GSP’s top on-site garage rate of $19 per day, so it mainly attracts business travelers who value the short walk and weather protection over saving a few dollars.

The posted hourly rate in Garage A is $2 per hour for up to four hours, which you won’t get in the daily-only economy lots. That makes it useful for same-day meetings at GSP, quick drop-offs, or waiting inside the terminal for an arriving flight instead of idling in the cell phone lot.

Current GSP parking pages list Garage A at a $19 daily max, higher than the $16 figure you still see in older blog posts from 2022. If you’re comparing options on Google, assume those older prices are wrong and budget at least $3 more per day for this garage.

Rental car desks sit inside Garage A across two floors, so renters often park here if they’re keeping a car overnight before an early flight or dropping a rental and then leaving their own car for a trip. That cuts down on walking between the rental counters, the garage elevators, and the Main terminal ticketing level.

GSP’s live occupancy board regularly shows Garage A at “LIMITED” status, with reports of it running above 90% full. At busy times, drivers circle upper levels or get pushed to Garage C or the economy lots, which can add several extra minutes compared with that advertised 5-minute walk.

Regulars in Greenville say they only use Garage A for same-day trips or pickups, switching to economy parking for anything more than about 24 hours because of the price gap. For a longer stay, do the math: once you hit several days, the economy daily rate undercuts Garage A by enough to cover a rideshare or nicer meal on your return.
