T1

Gate-side in T1, this is your last-minute fix point

Right in Terminal T1 after security, Travel Essentials Store is the spot to grab things you forgot at home before boarding from Graz Airport’s single pier of gates. It’s a compact travel shop rather than a full supermarket, but it covers the basics for Schengen and non-Schengen departures out of GRZ.

The shop keeps roughly airport-core hours, opening early in the morning for the first departures and staying open into the evening bank, so you can usually duck in before a 06:00 flight or a 20:00 departure. You’ll see standard travel items: phone chargers, power banks, travel pillows, eye masks, basic toiletries and small-sized liquids that pass the 100 ml rule.

Pricing sits in typical small-airport territory: expect to pay a few euros more than in downtown Graz for cables, plug adapters, and branded accessories. It’s still cheaper than getting stuck with no charger on a 2–3 hour hop to Frankfurt, Vienna or Zürich, so treat it as insurance rather than a bargain hunt.

Food-wise, think packaged snacks and bottled drinks only, not hot meals. Grab a 0.5 L water, some chocolate, nuts or crisps here, then rely on the café or restaurant in T1 if you want something cooked. No alcohol deals worth planning around; buy wine or spirits in the dedicated duty-free instead.

Quick tip: if you land in GRZ and have a same-day rail trip, buy your plug adapter or cable here before heading to the S5 train in front of the terminal, so you’re set for the 10–15 minute ride into Graz Hauptbahnhof.
