Parkeren op P2

Short stay

Eight-day trips, 2-minute walk: that’s P2 at Groningen

P2 sits just behind P1 at Groningen Airport Eelde T-terminal, about a 2-minute walk from the vertrekhal doors, and is sold as the cheaper on-airport option for stays of roughly a week or more compared with P1’s short-stay focus.

All three official car parks (P1, P2, P3) are in what Holiday Extras calls “comfortable walking distance” of the terminal, so at P2 you park your own car, lock up, and walk to check-in in under 2 minutes with no shuttle bus or waiting time.

Kupi.com groups P2 and P3 together as “for longer stays at more favourable rates” than P1, which lines up with how regulars treat P2 as the mid-distance, mid-price option for a 7–10 day holiday when P1’s premium short-stay pricing stops making sense.

Because Groningen’s P1, P2 and P3 are all walkable, Parkos doesn’t list any separate valet product for GRQ and instead pushes off-airport shuttle brands like “Parkeren Vliegveld Eelde” from about €40 for 8 days, a benchmark many frequent users compare directly against P2’s on-airport rates.

Holiday Extras and other brokers resell the airport’s own P2 inventory online, and Kupi.com notes you often pay less by prebooking, so regulars heading off for a 1-week beach package usually reserve P2 in advance instead of rolling up and paying the on-the-day gate tariff.

There aren’t recurring complaints in public reviews about P2, and the walking time is consistently quoted around 2 minutes, but the exact euro price per day for P2 isn’t openly published, so you only see your real total once you plug in dates in the airport or reseller booking engine.

Tip: Price out 8 days on P2 online and compare it to shuttle options advertised from about €40; if P2 comes in close, pay the small difference for the 2-minute walk and skip the minibus.
