Gate-side caffeine fix in Terminal 1
This Starbucks sits airside in Glasgow Airport’s Terminal 1, a few minutes’ walk from most domestic gates. It runs from early morning through late evening, covering the first wave of 06:00 departures and the later European flights. If you want a familiar menu before boarding easyJet or British Airways, this is the safest bet. Expect the standard UK pricing: a latte usually lands around £3–£4, with breakfast items in the £3–£6 range.
Food is the usual Starbucks UK lineup: paninis, toasted sandwiches, porridge pots, and pre-packed salads. You’ll see ham and cheese paninis, chicken wraps, and tomato mozzarella options in the fridge, plus croissants and muffins at the counter. Portion sizes match other UK city branches, not the smaller “airport only” setups you sometimes get abroad. If you need something you can eat in under 10 minutes, the warmed pastries and cookies are the quickest.
Drinks cover the full espresso range alongside seasonal specials. You can get standard tall, grande, and venti sizes, plus alternative milks like oat, soy, and almond for a small upcharge of around 40–60p. Cold options include iced lattes, Frappuccinos, and bottled juice. If you’re boarding a short Glasgow–London hop of under 90 minutes, a grande is plenty unless you want to be up and down to the aisle restroom.
Seating is limited, with just a handful of tables that fill fast during the 07:00–09:00 and 16:00–18:00 banks. Many people just grab a drink and carry it to nearby general seating in Terminal 1. Power outlets are hit-or-miss here, so don’t count on charging while you drink. Queues typically run 5–10 minutes at peak, shorter after 10:00.
Tip: if your flight boards from a gate under a 10-minute walk, mobile order ahead in the Starbucks app while you’re at security, then swing by once you’re through to cut your wait.
