Frankie and Benny's

1

Gate-side in Terminal 1, Frankie and Benny’s is your sit-down option before security closes early.

This Frankie and Benny’s sits in Glasgow Airport Terminal 1’s main departures area, airside, a short walk from most domestic gates. It runs breakfast through late evening, typically opening around 04:30 for first wave departures and closing after the last main bank of flights. Expect standard UK high-street pricing: mains hover around £12–£15, with soft drinks £3–£4 and beers closer to £5–£6.

Menu is classic F&B: burgers, pasta, pizza, and American‑style mains. You’ll see the usual bacon cheeseburger, margherita and pepperoni pizzas, plus chicken strips and loaded fries. Breakfast covers fry-ups, pancakes and eggs on toast; figure roughly £8–£11 for a cooked breakfast plate at Terminal 1. Portions tend to be generous compared to most GLA grab-and-go sandwiches in the £5–£7 range.

Service runs at normal airport speed: a sit-down meal here usually takes 35–50 minutes, so this is realistic if your gate is in the low teens and you board in about 45–60 minutes. There are power outlets at some tables, and it’s one of the few T1 spots where you can sit at a proper table instead of juggling a pastry on a bench near Gate 16.

If you care about predictability, stick to burgers, fries, and the simpler pizzas; those are closest to what you’d get at a high-street Frankie and Benny’s in Glasgow city centre. The cocktails are priced in the £8–£10 bracket; they’re fine, but airport-strength and not a value play compared with a £5–£6 pint.

Tip: check your gate on the screens near security before you sit down here; some international flights use gates at the far end of Terminal 1 and you’ll want at least 20 minutes to walk, queue, and board after you pay the bill.
