Most GGT food and souvenirs come from this small pre-security shop
Exuma Airport Shop sits landside in T1 before security, and it’s basically the main place to grab a snack or last-minute souvenir at GGT. You pass it on the way to the single check-in area, so it’s hard to miss. Think compact café meets gift stand: packaged snacks, a cooler with drinks, plus shelves of Exuma-branded items and beachy trinkets.
Because it’s not post-security, plan your timing. Once you clear the single security checkpoint for all T1 gates, there’s very little in the way of food. If you want a cold drink, chips, or something sweet before a US-bound flight, pick it up here and carry it through. Prices run higher than in town; expect tourist-airport markup on candy bars, soft drinks, and basic souvenirs.
On the café side, think grab-and-go: bottled water, sodas, juices, and sometimes packaged pastries or simple baked goods, rather than anything made to order. Don’t bank on full meals or specialty coffee drinks; this is more survival snack than sit-down café. If you need real food, eat in George Town before heading to the airport and treat this spot as a backup.
The gift shop half leans into Exuma themes: T-shirts with island logos, small bags of Bahamian spices, shells, magnets, and keychains. Stock can be hit-or-miss, but it’s fine for a quick “I forgot a souvenir” fix. You’ll also find basic travel items like neck pillows and chargers, though selection is small and prices again feel like last-resort territory.
Tip: buy water and any snacks you want for the gate area here in T1 before you join the security line; once you’re through, options shrink fast and you may go straight from the waiting room onto the aircraft stairs.
