Gate-side sugar fix in T2 before your Schengen hop
Sweet Factory sits inside Terminal T2 at Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, past security with the Schengen departures. It’s a small kiosk-style setup rather than a sit-down café, so think grab-and-go before boarding. You’ll spot it along the main airside corridor, close to several short-haul gates, which makes it easy to hit after your passport or security check.
Pricing runs airport-high but not outrageous: expect individual candy portions from around 8–12 PLN and pre-packed bags going higher depending on weight. You pay by the piece or by the bag, not per 100g from loose bins, so you can control the spend pretty tightly. Portions work well if you just want something to tide you over on a 1–2 hour flight.
Most stock is branded sweets and chocolates you’ll recognize from Polish supermarkets, with a focus on colourful candy that travels well. Think gummy mixes, lollipops, and chocolate bars rather than anything fresh or fragile. If you need something quick for kids before a LOT or Ryanair hop out of T2, this is one of the few spots selling pure candy instead of pastries or sandwiches.
There’s usually at least one staff member on from the early morning bank of flights around 05:00–06:00 up through late evening departures. Still, the kiosk can feel cramped if three or four people line up at once, especially around the 17:00–20:00 wave. Figure on 5 minutes in and out, even with a short queue.
Watch your liquids if you already cleared security at another EU airport and are connecting into T2: drinks from an earlier leg might get binned, but any sealed sweets from Sweet Factory ride through fine. Quick tip: if you have Polish zloty coins left, this is an easy last stop to burn 5–10 PLN before you tap out your Revolut or card at duty free.
