Gate-side beer stop in T2
Just past security in Terminal T2, Beer Bar sits in the main departures area and does exactly what the name says: taps and bottles you can reach in under 5 minutes from most Schengen gates. It’s a quick option if you land early on an LO or FR flight and want one drink before boarding.
Beer Bar opens in line with T2’s first departures, usually before 5:00, and stays open until the last evening flights leave after 22:00. Prices trend higher than downtown Gdańsk, with draft beers typically in the 18–26 PLN range and basic snacks and bar plates around 20–40 PLN.
As the name suggests, the focus is beer: you’ll see standard European lagers on tap plus some Polish labels in bottles and cans, often including Gdańsk or Tricity breweries. You can usually pair a 0.5 L pour with something simple like fries, a toastie, or a small plate without crossing 50 PLN total.
Seating sits right in the T2 concourse, in sight of multiple gate screens, so you won’t miss boarding announcements for flights to hubs like WAW, CPH, or FRA. It works well for solo travelers or pairs; larger groups of 5–6 may end up splitting across a couple of two-tops during busy afternoon banks.
There’s table service plus counter ordering, and staff work on airport pace: expect a beer in 3–5 minutes and hot snacks in about 10–15 minutes when T2 is full for the evening Ryanair and Wizz Air wave. Card payments in PLN and contactless are standard; you usually won’t need cash.
Tip: if your gate in T2 shows boarding within 20 minutes, stick to one draft and skip hot food; the walk to the furthest Schengen gates can still eat 5–7 minutes each way.
