KFC

T2

Chicken buckets in T2 before your GDN flight

KFC sits in Terminal T2 at Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, so you’re eating something familiar instead of gambling on a mystery sandwich 20 minutes before boarding. It’s a standard airport setup: counter service, tray in hand, and you can usually get food in under 10 minutes unless a Wizz Air or Ryanair wave hits at the same time.

Prices run higher than in town, with basic box meals and burgers landing in the 35–55 PLN range, plus another 8–15 PLN for a drink depending on size. Expect the usual Zinger-style chicken burgers, popcorn chicken, hot wings, and bigger family buckets that can easily feed two people before a 3-hour flight. Sides are the predictable fries and slaw, nothing local or experimental.

KFC in T2 tends to work best for short-haul European departures when you don’t trust the buy-on-board options from low-cost carriers. It’s post-security, so you clear checks first, walk into the departures area, and then grab food without clock-watching the passport line. Seating is shared with the surrounding food court-style area, so finding an empty chair near gate signage is usually easier than hunting for a dedicated KFC table.

Ordering is straightforward: counter staff handle both Polish and basic English, and card payments are standard, including contactless and phone wallets, which helps if you’re down to your last 20 PLN note. Portions track with other Polish KFCs, so a single burger meal is enough if you’re boarding a 2-hour hop to Germany or Scandinavia, but longer flights might justify a larger box or shared bucket.

Tip: if your gate is toward the far end of T2, place your order, grab your tray, and sit facing the departure screens so you don’t miss a gate change announcement while you work through the chicken.
