Gate-side in T2, Flying Bistro sits airside after security
Right after passport control in Terminal T2, Flying Bistro is one of the first sit-down spots you see on the Schengen side. It’s a basic café-bar setup with counter service and small tables, so think quick meal before a LOT or Wizz Air flight rather than a long stay. Layout is open to the concourse, so you can keep an eye on the screens while you eat.
Flying Bistro runs roughly from the first morning departures to the last evening flights in T2, covering the early 5–6 a.m. rush and late arrivals after 9 p.m. You pay at the counter when ordering, and they call or bring your tray when it’s ready. Service speed tracks how busy the gate area is; at peak Ryanair and Wizz banks, factor in 15–20 minutes from order to finish.
Food is standard airport café fare: sandwiches, panini, simple hot dishes, and pastries. Expect prices in the 25–45 PLN range for a sandwich or salad and 10–18 PLN for coffee depending on espresso vs latte size. Quality leans more “fuel before boarding” than destination dining, but it’s still a step up from grabbing only a packet of crisps from a kiosk near your gate.
Drinks cover the basics: espresso-based coffee, bottled soft drinks, and beer or wine by the bottle or small draft. A beer in T2 here usually runs around 14–18 PLN, in line with other GDN airside bars. If you want a proper coffee before a morning LOT departure to WAW or an evening hop to FRA, this is one of the closer spots to most Schengen gates.
Practical tip: T2 security can move fast at off-peak times, so you may reach the gate area earlier than planned; hold off buying food in the land-side hall and eat at Flying Bistro airside instead, so you’re already past the queues and within a 3–5 minute walk of most departures.
