Cukiernia Sowa

T2

Gate-side sugar hit in T2

Cukiernia Sowa in Terminal T2 sits airside on the Schengen side, so you can grab coffee and pastry after security instead of queuing at the generic stands before passport control. It’s a Polish bakery chain, so expect proper cakes and tarts rather than reheated muffins.

Espresso and standard coffee drinks usually land around 10–15 PLN, which runs cheaper than many sit-down spots in Gdańsk’s city center, and still reasonable for an airport. Portions on cakes are generous, so one slice of sernik or chocolate cake easily tides you over a 2–3 hour delay.

Sweets are the main event: think layered tortes, fruit cakes, and seasonal pastries sold by the piece, typically 12–20 PLN per slice. There’s also a case with cookies and small pastries that work as a quick grab if boarding starts in under 15 minutes and you don’t want to juggle a fork at the gate.

Food beyond desserts is limited to simple snacks and sometimes small sandwiches, so don’t plan on a full hot meal here before a 3-hour LOT or Ryanair hop out of T2. This is a coffee-and-cake stop, not a restaurant that can replace lunch on a tight layover.

Service pace matches airport flow: you order and pay at the counter, then they hand over your drink in a minute or two. Orders come in proper china if you sit, or paper cups if you tell them you’re heading for a flight at gate numbers in the 1–10 range nearby.

Tip: if you’ve got under 20 minutes to boarding from T2 Schengen gates, point at the cake you want and ask for takeaway; they’ll box it, and you can eat it at the gate instead of hovering at a crowded table.
