Gate-side skincare fix in Terminal 1

A few minutes’ walk inside Terminal 1, The Body Shop sits in the main departures shopping strip, handy if you realize you forgot moisturizer or a small gift before boarding at GDL. It’s past security, so you can stop in even with only 30–40 minutes before boarding, as long as your gate is nearby in T1.

The shop carries the standard Body Shop lineup you’d see in a city mall: shower gels, body butters, hand creams, face masks, and a decent shelf of mini bottles under 100 ml that clear security rules for carry-on liquids. Prices run similar to regular Mexican mall locations, not duty-free levels, so expect to pay close to street pricing in pesos rather than a big airport markup.

Most products are mid-range, think simple shea butter, tea tree skincare, and seasonal scents rather than luxury labels. Travel-size sets often sit near the counter and usually come in at a few hundred pesos, which works for a last-minute present before a Volaris or Aeroméxico short hop out of Terminal 1. Bigger body butters or gift boxes take up more bag space, so plan around your carry-on limits.

The store usually opens early morning alongside other Terminal 1 retail and stays open into the late evening bank of flights, covering most departures from GDL’s main terminal. One practical move: if you’re tight on liquids space, buy a single travel kit here instead of multiple full-size bottles, so security in Terminal 1 doesn’t flag your bag on the way to the gate.
