Clōe

Near the T1 boarding gates, Clōe is the leather stop

This Clōe shop in Terminal 1 sits airside, past security, so you can duck in on the way to domestic and international gates. It focuses on mid-range handbags, wallets, and travel accessories, mostly in the MX$800–2,500 bracket, so it’s more “upgrade your carry-on” than luxury splurge. Signs and prices are in pesos, but staff are used to card payments from US and Canadian banks.

Most stock is women’s bags and small leather goods, with a smaller wall of backpacks and laptop bags that actually work for carry-on on Volaris or Aeroméxico’s stricter sizer. You’ll also see passport covers, cosmetic bags, and a few lightweight totes that fold flat, handy if your checked bag is already at the 23 kg limit. Quality sits above generic souvenir shops but below the luxury boutiques further down T1.

Expect standard airport markups: items often run 10–20% higher than Clōe stores in Guadalajara city. Returns usually require bringing the item back to another Clōe location in Mexico with the paper receipt, not just the card slip, so keep that in your passport wallet. Staff generally speak at least basic English and can quote dimensions in centimeters if you’re trying to match airline cabin limits like 55 × 40 × 25 cm.

Best use of this stop: a last-minute handbag, wallet, or work bag that won’t scream “tourist market” in meetings. If you care about color options or specific lines, shop their city stores instead. Tip: snap a quick photo of the tag that shows material and price in MX$, in case you need to claim it for work expenses later.
