Terminal 1, opposite gate 11, Guadalajara International Airport (Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla), Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

Near Gate 5 in T1, Salón Premier is Aeroméxico’s home base at GDL

This is Aeroméxico’s own lounge in Terminal 1 at Guadalajara, tucked just off the corridor by Gate 5, mainly used by elites and premium-cabin passengers killing an hour before flights to Mexico City and beyond. Space is smaller than the big pay-in VIP lounges elsewhere in T1, so think short stopover with a seat, Wi‑Fi, and a drink rather than a long layover hangout.

Opening hours track Aeroméxico’s schedule from early morning into the evening, with peaks matching the Mexico City bank and regional departures to cities like Monterrey. If you’re on a late-night departure, confirm closing time at check-in; the lounge sometimes winds down early once the last Aeroméxico flight on the board is inside a 60–90 minute window.

Food is usually light snacks only, not full meals: think cookies, packaged chips, small pastries, and occasionally a tray of sandwiches at busy times around the 06:00–09:00 rush. If you need something substantial before a 3‑hour hop to MEX and a tight connection, grab real food in the T1 concourse first and treat the lounge as a drink-and-email stop.

Drinks are the main draw, with a standard Mexican lounge bar setup: local beers, a couple of red and white wines, and basic spirits poured by staff behind the counter. Coffee machines and soft drinks sit self‑serve near the bar, so you can pull a quick espresso or grab a bottle of water before heading to boarding at Gate 5 or the nearby low‑number gates in T1.

Seating is mostly low armchairs and small tables, laid out in one compact room within Terminal 1 rather than spread into quiet zones or work pods. Power outlets are limited, and some older reviews mention hunting for a free socket near the walls, so charge to 80–100% in the terminal if you’re working on a laptop before you check in at the Salón Premier desk.

Wi‑Fi is included and generally faster than the public GDL terminal network, with a separate lounge SSID and a password given at reception. Speeds fluctuate when the room fills before Mexico City departures, but for email, messaging, and a quick download before a 90‑minute flight, it usually beats the free airport Wi‑Fi near Gate 5.

Access follows the standard Aeroméxico pattern: status holders (SkyTeam Elite Plus), business-class passengers, and some credit-card tie‑ins get in, while casual flyers in T1 often steer to the larger pay-in VIP lounges elsewhere in the terminal. If you hold multiple options, use Salón Premier for a 45–60 minute sit-down before boarding and pick a bigger third‑party lounge if you’re stuck at GDL for more than 2 hours.
