News and Books Kiosk

Gate-area grab at FWA when you forgot a paperback

News and Books Kiosk sits in the Main Terminal airside, past security near the gates, so you can wait until after screening to pick something up. Expect the usual mix of magazines, softcover bestsellers, basic stationery, and a few last-minute travel items, all priced at typical small-airport markups. Think $4–$6 for bottled drinks and $10–$20 for books, so buy only what you actually need for the flight.

Fort Wayne International keeps the Main Terminal open for the first and last daily departures, and the kiosk generally tracks those hours, opening for the early-morning bank of flights and closing after the final outbound boards. That timing works if your flight is on Delta, American, or United’s regional operations, which all use this same security checkpoint and gate area. If you’re on the first departure around 5:00–6:00 a.m., don’t count on every rack being fully stocked.

You’ll find more than just reading material: basic travel-sized toiletries, over-the-counter pain relievers, phone charging cables, and neck pillows often share shelf space with the paperbacks. Snacks run toward single-serve chips and candy rather than fresh options, and drinks lean heavily on bottled soda and water instead of specialty coffee. If you care about coffee, grab it from a café in the Main Terminal before committing to kiosk drip.

Plan one quick pass here after security, then head straight to your gate so you’re boarding with everyone else instead of juggling magazines and snacks in the queue.
