Gate-side bar in the Main Terminal with local beer

Hop River Brewing sits in the Main Terminal at FWA, past security, and runs from 6:00 AM until the last departure pushes back. It’s one of the few spots in this small airport where you can actually sit down with a draft beer instead of grabbing a bottle from a newsstand cooler.

The menu leans on pub basics at airport pricing, so expect burgers, sandwiches, and snacks in the $10–$18 range, plus Hop River beers that normally pour in their Fort Wayne taproom. If you’re here on an early 6:30 AM departure, they’ll still serve breakfast items and coffee alongside the bar setup.

Hours track the flight schedule, so if the last outbound is around 9:00–10:00 PM, that’s your rough cutoff for a pint. Earlier in the day, it’s a decent spot to kill 30–40 minutes instead of sitting at your gate in the Main Terminal chairs, especially if your flight is one of the few on the board.

There isn’t much in the way of competition at FWA, so Hop River Brewing usually ends up as the de facto sit-down option. Seating is limited compared to big hubs, and during a bank of departures (two or three flights in the same hour) you may wait a few minutes for a table.

Tip: If your layover or arrival leaves you more than 45 minutes before boarding, order first, then check your gate—everything in the Main Terminal is within a 3–5 minute walk.
