Gate 11–12 airside, this Sakura Lounge is pure basics
On the 2nd floor of the Domestic Terminal near Gates 11–12, JAL Sakura Lounge Fukuoka gives you a seat, Wi‑Fi, and drinks, but not much beyond that. It opens at 06:00 and stays open until the last JAL domestic departure, matching the first/last bank of flights out of FUK.
Access runs on standard JAL rules: domestic JAL First and Business Class passengers, plus oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members on eligible JAL domestic flights. If you’re flying out of another gate cluster in the Domestic Terminal, factor in a 5–10 minute walk back from the lounge to your gate.
Food is minimal and often described as forgettable, in line with reviews that call JAL’s smaller lounges “uninspiring.” Expect packaged snacks at best and plan to eat in the public area restaurants earlier on the same 2nd floor. Regulars hit the landside and airside food courts, then come here only for drinks and a power outlet.
Drinks are the main reason to badge in: soft drinks, tea and coffee machines, and usually a few alcoholic options that rotate but tend to include beer and basic spirits. Everything is self-service and free once you’re inside, which can easily cover the cost of a couple of drinks you’d otherwise buy in the terminal.
There are no showers, no nap rooms, and no recliners, a point repeated in guides like SleepingInAirports’ Fukuoka overview. If you’re coming off an overnight or connecting from a long international sector, this lounge will not help you freshen up beyond a quick wash in a regular restroom sink.
Seating is standard armchairs and small tables in a single, open room near the Domestic Terminal windows. Power outlets are scattered but not at every seat, so if you see a spot with two sockets and half-decent tarmac views, take it and stay put until boarding is called for your JAL flight.
Tip: Build in 20–30 minutes here after you’ve already eaten in the terminal; treat Sakura Fukuoka as a calm drink-and-email stop rather than a full pre-flight lounge session.
