One-minute walk from T1 arrivals, but taxis only
Taxi Rank Parking at Fuerteventura Airport sits directly outside T1 arrivals, roughly a 1-minute walk from the baggage claim exit doors. It functions as a holding and queuing lane for licensed taxis lining up to pick up passengers as they exit the terminal. You’ll see marked taxis rotating through this area continuously during standard flight banks across the day.
This zone is for commercial vehicles, not private cars, and it does not work like the public AENA General P1 car park. Brokers such as Parkos and ParkVia only sell spaces in P1 at FUE, which is the clue that Taxi Rank Parking isn’t in the bookable inventory. If you’re driving your own car, you need P1 or the terminal curb for quick drop-off, not this taxi area.
Arriving passengers use this taxi rank as their primary ground transport point from T1. After collecting bags, you walk 100–150 meters through the main exit, then head straight to the signed “Taxi” line. Fares from the airport into Puerto del Rosario or resort areas on Fuerteventura meter from here; there’s no separate surcharge for using this rank versus any other pickup point.
For taxi drivers, this lane operates as a short-stay staging strip with space for multiple vehicles at a time, keeping the front cars closest to the arrivals doors. Only licensed taxis with the appropriate local permits should enter; private vehicles risk fines or being moved on by airport police if they try to wait in the queue lane.
Tip: If you’re arriving and just need parking, skip the taxi rank signs and follow airport directions to “P1 General” instead; that’s the public car park where you can actually leave your car.
