Priority Pass gets you into LuxxLounge landside in T1

In Terminal 1 at Frankfurt, LuxxLounge sits landside before security and functions as the pay-in and Priority Pass fallback when Lufthansa’s own lounges either cost around US$44 to buy into or aren’t an option. It suits long waits before check-in opens, especially on economy tickets or non-Star Alliance carriers using T1. Just remember you still need time to reach your gate and clear security after you leave.

Because it’s landside in Terminal 1, LuxxLounge works best if your airline’s check‑in counters open late and you don’t want to sit in the public hall for two or three hours. You can enter with Priority Pass or pay at the door; exact walk-up pricing fluctuates but sits in the same ballpark as buying into Lufthansa lounges, just without the Lufthansa food or shower setup. Once you’re checked in and bags are dropped, you still have security plus a walk to your pier, which at FRA can easily be 20–30 minutes in T1.

Food and drink run on the basic side compared with Lufthansa Senator or Business lounges in Terminal 1, which often have hot dishes and better drink fridges. Expect a small cold spread, snacks, soft drinks and self-serve coffee machines rather than a full hot buffet. Alcohol selection usually hits the basics (beer, wine, a couple of spirits) but nothing like the larger Lufthansa setups near A and B gates. If hot meals matter, you may be better off timing a restaurant visit airside instead.

Regulars with Priority Pass sometimes use LuxxLounge as a “first stage” stop when they have more than three hours before departure and can’t check in yet, then move airside to their actual gate area around T‑90. That pattern works well in Terminal 1 because security wait times can hit 20–30 minutes in peaks, and walking from landside check‑in to some remote B or Z gates can eat another 10–15 minutes. Treat LuxxLounge as a chair, Wi‑Fi, and shelter from the landside crowd, not as your main lounge for the flight.

Tip: If you use LuxxLounge, set an alarm to leave at least 60 minutes before boarding for Schengen flights from T1 and 75–90 minutes for non‑Schengen or Z‑gates, accounting for security and a possible long walk.
