Passenger Terminal

3 airlines 3 restaurants 6 lounges

Terminal T1 hosts 3 airlines. You'll find 3 dining options, 6 lounges here.

All flights share the same compact T1 building

One passenger terminal handles Gol, LATAM Brasil, and Azul at Pinto Martins International Airport, so you’re always in T1 no matter the airline. Renovations under Fraport give the building clean finishes and better lighting, but airside still feels small compared to São Paulo or Rio. Arrivals and departures sit in the same structure, with departures on the upper level and arrivals on the ground floor.

Check-in for Gol, LATAM Brasil, and Azul lines up along the main departures hall in T1, with self-service kiosks for at least two of the three carriers during daytime peaks. Security usually sits just past the central check-in zone, and because there’s only one terminal, lines can build fast around early-morning bank flights between 4:00 and 7:00. Build a 30–40 minute buffer from curb to gate if you’re checking bags.

Food options: basic but predictable chains

Subway, Bob’s, and Casa do Pão de Queijo cover most of the recognizable food inside T1, with at least one Casa do Pão de Queijo usually found airside for quick pão de queijo and coffee. Subway handles made-to-order sandwiches with prices roughly in line with Brazilian mall outlets, while Bob’s covers burgers, milkshakes, and fries for a fast meal before boarding. Expect queues at Casa do Pão de Queijo during early-morning departures when everyone wants coffee at the same time.

Casa do Pão de Queijo leans heavily on pão de queijo and salgados, which works well if you just need a snack and a café com leite before a 06:00 departure. Subway tends to move faster for take-away, so it’s usually the better call if your boarding pass shows a tight 25–30 minute window to gate closure. Bob’s can run slower at busy times because of fryer and grill bottlenecks, so allow at least 20 minutes if you’re ordering burgers or combo meals.

Lounges: multiple brands in a small terminal

AMBAAR Club FOR sits inside the passenger terminal and often pulls Priority Pass and lounge network guests on domestic and some international departures. W Premium Lounge and the linked W Arrival Lounge Inter also operate in T1, giving you both pre-flight and post-flight options in the same compact building. Signs inside T1 point to lounges from the central departures hall, typically one level up from the main gate seating.

AMBAAR Club, W Premium Lounge, and W Arrival Lounge Inter generally offer Wi‑Fi, basic hot dishes, and soft drinks, which can be a step up from hunting for a power outlet in the public gate area. Space can feel tight during bank times since the entire airport runs out of this single terminal. Don’t waste a lounge visit on a 25-minute connection; these lounges make more sense if you have at least 60–90 minutes before boarding to sit, eat, and charge devices.

Layout and moving through T1

All departure gates in T1 sit beyond one main security point, and walking from the center of the concourse to the farthest gate usually takes under 10 minutes at a relaxed pace. Arriving passengers exit onto the ground floor, where you’ll find baggage claim and landside exits to taxis and app-based rides. With only this single terminal in play, you never change buildings for domestic versus international flights; check your boarding pass and follow the posted passport control signs instead.

Shops are relatively sparse compared to São Paulo–GRU or Rio–GIG, so don’t count on finding a specific electronics or fashion brand after security in T1. Duty-free selections, when open for international departures or arrivals, focus on the standard liquor, perfume, and chocolate ranges, not specialty regional products. If you care about selection or price, buy key items in Fortaleza city before heading to the airport and treat T1 as backup only.

One practical tip: eat or buy snacks before going through security if you’re hitting a late-night or very early flight, because Subway, Bob’s, and Casa do Pão de Queijo in T1 sometimes run reduced hours outside the main departure banks.
